Abstract

Theme Park can be interpreted as a container for sightseeing. But along with the rapidly growing city development, there is a lack of recreational areas that can be used as places of education. This problem also arises in the area of West Java, where existing parks do not generally focus on plant education, resulting in the need for design solutions so that people do not only take vacations but can also learn about plants. The design objective of the Parahyangan Botanical Garden is to create a recreational park that is beneficial for the surrounding community and especially the people in the city of Bandung. Through a biophilic architectural approach, the implementation of the designs resulting from this project pays attention to user comfort, combines nature with buildings, and designs facilities according to standards. Taking the theme "nature in space" is applied to the facades of buildings within the area by using natural accents such as natural wood and stone. Presenting a pool as well as a fountain as a feature of the sound element. Designing plazas and parks on the site will strengthen the application of these biophilic architectural design principles.
